How to check my downloads on steam app

Outdated information. Thanks for understanding! Per page: 15 30 Date Posted: 15 Aug, am. I have tried a clean install but the files automatically install in the same directory. I tried moving all Steam files to a another hard drive and then launching from there but no dice. There is no option for the user to decide the location of the install. This is a problem for users who need choice as to where steam downloaded files reside.

This has been recently added. But in Steam preferences, Downloads, then click Steam Library Folders button you can start adding multiple locations.
