How come when AMD cards get a performance hit it's due to "unoptimization" but when Nvidia cards do it's "the way it's supposed to be".
The bottom line is that most Gameworks features implement geometry based effects and most AMD sponsored games implement shader heavy workloads. Nvidia has worse shader performance, AMD has worse geometry performance. It has nothing to do with unoptimization and more to do with the companies playing to their own strengths.
Its not about AMD vs Nvidia performance, but rather the performance of the game in general. The Frostbite Engine just runs really efficiently on PC, while most other games run on PC like its an unwanted step child. My main gripe is about how the majority of developers simply refuse to optimize for PC.
Anyone can say that the 'game runs fine for me' of course if you brute force it with a really powerful card. The video above from YouTuber jackfrags demonstrates just how stunning this game can look when shaders and post-processing effects are tweaked with some software called SweetFX.
Preset for Star Wars Battlefront. I was able to download it after 20 minutes of fooling around. I have posted it on my. Back in November, a mod that enhanced the graphics of Star Wars Battlefront was showcased through screenshots.
And now the first footage of the mod has been released and can be viewed in 4K and 60 frames per second. It showcases footage of the various modes on Tatooine, Hoth, and Endor. Most of the footage is comprised of stormtroopers and rebels in the midst of battle; however, it ends with an interaction between Darth Vader and a scout trooper that is definitely worth seeing.
He also shares much of his modding work on his 'Toddyhancer' Facebook page. It received a score of 7 in GameSpot's review, which said the first 10 hours are packed with exciting moments, but it doesn't go much deeper than its ambitious surface appeal.
